Hourly Driving Lessons
We can provide hourly lessons in vehicles with either manual or automatic gearboxes. Lessons are usually 1-2 hours long and are booked directly with your assigned instructor. Lesson prices for manual are:
Please note that these prices are during our normal operating hours. Instructors may charge a higher rate for out of hours lessons. |
Ask yourself why these lessons are so cheap:
- is the lesson actually an hour long?
- how much time will you spend at the side of the road saving the instructors fuel?
- is the tuition on a ‘one to one’ basis?
- is your instructor actually registered with the DVSA?
With us, if you pay for an hour, you get an hour. The only time you will stop at the side of the road is for the necessary briefing/debriefing of an exercise. There will only ever be yourself and our instructor in the car, no ‘2 up’ lessons and no ‘piggy-backing’ dropping off the last pupil and picking up the next. All of our instructors display their DVSA badges in the cars windscreen – you are more than welcome to ask to view it.
Research shows that learners who have a combination of professional instruction and private practice do better at the driving test. On average, those who pass have had 47 hours professional training, as well as 20 hours private practice. Our instructor will advise you in plenty of time of when best to book your practical test which should be done in liason with them. Please remember your practical test can only be booked once you have passed your theory test.
The test contains several parts:
- Eyesight Test – Read a new style number plate from 20m
- ‘Show Me Tell Me B‘ Questions – You will be asked 2 questions from the list
- General Road Driving
- Turn in the Road, Reverse Around a Corner, Reverse Bay Park, Parallel Park – 1 will be selected
- Emergency Stop – 1 in 3 tests will be asked to demonstrate this
- An ability to demonstrate Eco-safe driving
- Independent Drive
